In the wake of four superb vintages and globally acclaimed wines the Hawke’s Bay is being recognised internationally as producing many different cultivars of world-class pedigree. That ability showed through at this year’s Hawke’s Bay A&P Bayleys 2017 Wine Awards with 2015 wines across the varietal board scoring strongly. The industry across the region has been described as booming. Internationally, Syrah and Chardonnay were up with the very best, and the international wine media has placed the Hawkes Bay up there with the Barossa Valley and Northern Rhone as a place for producing the very best syrahs. Clearview Estate has seen success with the evolution of the industry, and particularly the growth of fine chardonnay They picked up a trophy at the awards for their 2015 Endeavour Chardonnay.
