Felsineo, a major Italian deli meat producer, has launched a range of six vegan deli meat options under the Veghiamo brand.  The company has seen sales of traditional deli meat products slow, with President, Andrea Raimondi, noting that it is a fact that the number of people opting for vegetarian and vegan goods is increasing as people look for products that will deliver better health and wellbeing.  He adding the trend should not be seen as a passing fashion but a new eating habit.  The products have been designed to have a similar look and feel to traditional meat varieties with flavours like black pepper and smoked.  The products are made from wheat, lupine and chickpeas.
