French dairy giant, Danone’s plan- based business, expects to accelerate growth trends. The company’s first-quarter results were released reporting that its plant-based business delivered high single digit growth. The company plans to accelerate growth through expanding into new geographies, particularly in Latin America and Europe through innovation of new products, such as ice-cream. Danone set itself the target of achieving global plant-based sales of 5 billion euros by 2025.
