PepsiCo, Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) and other major soda brands are learning about the health and wellness wave and are releasing healthy beverage choices such as pressed juices, kombucha and flavoured waters. Big brands need to make a move to stay relevant and keep customers after the consumer backlash against sugar and additives. According to Derek Dabrowski, Vice President of Carbonated Beverages and Marketing at KDP, sodas are not consumed how they once were and big companies need to advertise honestly. KDP recently advertised their Diet Dr. Pepper as ‘’it’s a sweet one’’, KDP is hoping to remove a stigma some consumers have when shopping for soda.
