Hampton Creek has announced the launch of its Just Scramble vegan egg substitute. The product would debut in San Francisco and would be available throughout the United States in 2018. Initially the product would be sold to chefs, companies and restaurant chains, but would be available to consumers later in 2018. The egg substitute was made of mung beans and did not contain any cholesterol or antibiotics. Hampton Creek Chief Executive Officer, Josh Tetrick said the product also tasted like an egg.
