Air New Zealand Chief Executive, Christopher Luxon, said he was not interested in the top job at Fonterra and remained committed to the airline. There had been speculation on whether he would move to Fonterra after the resignation of Theo Spierings. He said he was aware of the speculation on the subject within the investor community, media and marketplace in general. He noted he was approached about the role, but wanted to end the speculation and reassure everyone he would remain committed to Air New Zealand. He had been Chief Executive since January 2013. Mr Luxon noted the past year had been the most challenging since taking on the job.
