At least 20 more sheep have been killed by roaming dogs in Hawke’s Bay after an attack on a lifestyle block near Clive. More than 100 sheep have been killed in semi-rural areas near Hastings over the past fortnight. Mr Curtis, owner of the lifestyle block reports that this is the only trouble he has had in 38 years of living on the property, with the injuries clearly indicating the sheep had been killed by dogs. Last week Monday 30 sheep were killed by dogs near Bridge Pa, Hastings. They belonged to a flock that had 36 of its number killed by dogs the previous week. Owners Colin and Denise Davis said they had now lost more than 100 lambs worth about $20,000 in dog attacks this month.
