Anzcos automated cutting project worth $10 million is now in full production at the Rangitikei meat processing plant in the lower North Island. This new equipment replaced five band saws, and has improved accuracy on x-ray pictures allowing an extra 5mm of meat to be retained on French racks, adding significant value.  The Scott Technology system was installed with the plant still operating allowing no production to be lost. The Rangitikei plant, built in 2005, employs about 400 people and processes about a million lambs and sheep a year. Anzco is also trialling its new online trading platform, designed to provide a digital link with customers around the world.
